Shichimi Togarashi

A traditional Japanese seven-spice blend designed to add bright, complex heat and texture to noodles and soups. While recipes vary, it almost universally includes coarsely ground red chili pepper, sansho (Japanese pepper), roasted orange peel, black and white sesame seeds, hemp seed, ginger, and nori (seaweed).
