    Combine onions in medium bowl with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. 15-20 minutes .

    Heat . onions on both sides until marks form and onions are softened. Set aside.

    Combine spinach, chicory, and radicchio in medium bowl.

    In 12-inch sauté pan, heat oil over low heat, sweat garlic and salt until garlic begins to turn golden.

    In small bowl, whisk together vinegar and syrup until well combined.

    Add spinach, chicory, and radicchio to pan and sauté until just barely wilted. Add balsamic-rice syrup mixture and toss to combine.

    Transfer greens to plate and garnish with spring onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and pine nuts.
