Coconut Oil

An edible oil extracted from the meat of mature coconuts (*Cocos nucifera*), characterized by its high concentration of saturated fat, which makes it solid at room temperature. Virgin coconut oil retains a distinct tropical coconut aroma, while refined coconut oil is neutral and has a much higher smoke point for frying.
